The RCMP acknowledges that a possible postal strike may impact operations at the Canadian Firearms Programs and suggest that those requiring materials from the CFP immediately use a courier service:
CFP contingencies during a period of postal service uncertainty
The Canadian Firearms Program is advising clients that there may be delays in the receipt and distribution of CFP mail as a result of the current postal situation in Canada. For urgent situations, such as the requirement of a firearms licence for employment purposes, CFP recommends that the clients courier applications (at the client’s expense) to: RCMP, 171 Duke Street, Miramichi, New Brunswick, E1N 1H9.
