I appeared as a guest on Sun News’ The Daily Brief today to debate the topic of a potential Quebec gun registry with Liberal Senator Romeo Dallaire.
Senator Dallaire and I may disagree on this issue, but he is an absolute class act.

Saw the discussion live on SUN. I noticed that most of the time Senator Dallaire didn’t directly counter the arguments you were making.
I find that most people’s impression or perception of guns comes from what they see on TV shows or from Hollywood — guns are used to rob people, murder, etc. But the actual, everyday use of guns in the vast majority of cases in Canada is for legitimate purposes — skeet shooting, hunting, etc. As more people grow up in urban areas where it is unlawful to discharge a gun, it makes sense that more people would obtain their understanding of guns from the TV or internet rather than from actual reality. There are less people growing up with guns in the house or with fathers who hunt as Canada becomes more urban.
Anyways, I hope a lot of people see the video you posted.
